Matching on Tinder during a Nashville ice storm was only the tip of the iceberg for Chase and Kaelie. They “broke the ice” on their first date at a coffee shop and continued straight through lunch — marking the beginning of a red-hot relationship. One fateful day, while they were stuck in a traffic jam, Kaelie brought up the subject of engagement. In the most pleasant turn of events ever to spice up freeway gridlock, Chase pulled out a ring! One year later, the couple was getting ready to walk down the aisle.
One of the biggest milestones in Chase and Kaelie’s relationship was moving from Nashville to California. It was important to Chase and Kaelie that they incorporate their decision to move to California in their wedding by showing off the “best of our new home to our family and friends from around the world.” Kaelie’s mother recommended Casa Romantica to the bride-to-be, and upon viewing the property, Kaelie came to the conclusion that Casa Romantica’s vibrant gardens and captivating ocean view was exactly what she and her fiancé had envisioned for the wedding.
Chase and Kaelie’s traditional ceremony was held at St. Edwards, a nearby church just up the coast. Guests arrived at Casa Romantica shortly afterward for cocktail hour, where they sipped on festive cocktails and soaked up the breathtaking views.
Casa Romantica’s historical background was accentuated through the elements of Old Hollywood embedded in the bride’s hairstyle and dress. Hair stylist and makeup artist Amber with Beauty is Payne worked with both the bride and bridesmaids to create flawless looks for the joyous occasion. According to Kaelie, Amber “made me and all of my bridesmaids feel like princesses. She understood exactly what I wanted, and she made us all look natural and beautiful!” The groom and groomsmen donned fitted tuxedos which went along perfectly with the classic style of the bridesmaids.
The couple wanted a “traditional and elegant wedding” with a romantic vibe. Crisp ivory and gold tablescapes paired perfectly with the eye catching coral and fuchsia-hued bouquets and centerpieces created by Bloom of Time. Adrienne and her team worked together to create stunning, budget-friendly florals that accented the natural beauty of the Casa.
Wedding photographer Kara with Kara Nixon Photography beautifully captured the love being shared in the moment. Kaelie recalls her knowing “how to direct people in order to get the best photos,” and is “thrilled by the sneak peeks that she sent us.”
