But First, Brunch: 5 Tips For Designing A Post-Wedding Brunch
The worst part of your wedding weekend is… when it ends! For that reason, a post-wedding brunch can be the perfect way to close out the festivities and bade farewell to friends and family, especially if they’ve traveled far to attend.
Whether at a vacation rental, a luxury resort, or at our own gorgeous venue, brunch is the last memory that your guests will have of your fabulous wedding weekend. Not sure how to make it happen? Here are 5 quick-and-easy, elegant ideas from the Casa Romantica Private Events team guaranteed to make your post-wedding brunch party delicious and memorable.

1. The Tablescape
For this special occasion, we recommend a fresh and clean table-scape design. Minimalistic flowers with colorful, fruity accent pieces are a brilliant combination because they can brighten up any space effortlessly, and allow the table settings to be simple as well. They are also budget-friendly compared to the extravagant floral arrangements that you may have chosen for your wedding ceremony and reception.
We recommend something like the setting below, with rose gold flatware and perhaps some golden details. This tablescape is meant to echo the soft coral-colored roof and green doors throughout Casa Romantica’s Spanish Colonial Revival estate.
We also love this simpler design featuring classic white plates and colorful centerpieces.
2. The Mimosa Bar
No brunch can call itself a brunch without a fabulous mimosa bar. Popping open a bottle of bubbly with a display of fresh fruit juices allows for unlimited cocktail combinations!
Make it easy for yourself! There is no reason to stress out planning another big extravaganza — you just finished planning your wedding.
The mimosa bar set-up can be just as minimal as the table design. Something as simple as getting fun straws or beverage containers can be the perfect details. Another great D.I.Y. option is to freeze ice cubes with flower petals inside. They look beautiful and require the least amount of effort possible.
Pro Tip: You can even use leftover flowers from your wedding night to add a little personal touch.
3. Add more beverages!
Pre-made beverages like fruit-infused waters and hand-crafted lemonades are also great options! Fill decorative clear containers with an assortment of pre-made beverages to add even more color and freshness to your brunch.
4. The Menu
Food is obviously the most important part of any brunch. In order to streamline the planning AND eating experience, we advise one of the following trendy menu set-ups:
Self-service stations like an omelet station or waffle bar — and don’t skimp on the toppings!
Pre-plated mini breakfast dishes that allow your guests to have a variety of mouth-watering breakfast treats.
With either option, your guests are guaranteed to help themselves “seconds” or maybe even “thirds.”
Donut walls are also a fan favorite! Adding this easy-to-make (and easier-to-devour) masterpiece to your post-wedding brunch will definitely be a hit. Who can say no to delectably-iced and sprinkled works of art?
Another fun and unique option- a BACON BAR! Pair your donut wall with a savory bacon bar to ensure that guests have both sweet and savory options to choose from. Your guests can sample several different types of bacon such as maple syrup, black pepper, and brown sugar- we guarantee it will be a hit!
Unfortunately, not all of your guests may have the luxury of staying to rejoice in the last of the wedding celebrations. Because of this, we always recommend having some “grab-n-go” options as well. Whether it is a coffee bar complete with all of the fixings or a trail mix station to take some snacks for the road, you can to make sure that all of your wedding guests feel welcome to participate even if it means saying a quick farewell before jumping on a plane home.
Pro Tip: For both of the above options, you can add something special by creating personalized coffee sleeves or paper sacks to take their food and beverages to-go.
5. The Entertainment
One more way to create the brunch of a lifetime is by incorporating some casual activities to keep your guests entertained. People can only eat so much food! Backyard games like a personalized corn-hole set, jenga, a life-size game of dominoes, or even a lively “ring toss” match can be the perfect way to end your beyond-enjoyable wedding weekend.
We hope that these little tips and tricks on how to create the perfect wedding brunch helped you gather some creative inspiration and maybe even made you crave every breakfast food that ever existed! The main takeaway should be to plan for a laid-back atmosphere. This is a fond farewell get-together for all of your guests who made your wedding weekend so memorable, and it’s a toast to the married life you are now embarking upon.
