Sean and Megan met while they were both attending Oregon State University. They became acquainted during a weekly study hall required by the athletics program (Sean played football and Megan was on the gymnastics team). They bonded over shared interests and their friendship continued for more than a year before blossoming into more.
After five years of dating, Sean and Megan moved to Arizona and purchased their first home. During a weekend trip to Sedona, while the couple was hiking, Sean proposed on a beautiful rock bridge overlooking the beautiful desert views and Megan excitedly said “Yes!”
When it came time to select a venue, the newly engaged couple didn’t have to look far. Sean grew up in San Clemente and it was one of the couples favorite places to visit. Casa Romantica was the perfect fit with its stunning views and gorgeous architecture. “One of my favorite things about Casa Romantica is how breathtaking it is…” recalled Megan. The pair celebrates their birthdays, engagement, and anniversary all in March, so there was no question that it was the perfect month for the wedding.
Megan’s dress especially important as she was able to incorporate a very sentimental detail to it. The front layer of her dress was from her mother’s wedding dress. She was also able to incorporate pieces of it into her garter and bouquet. Megan said, “Having these special pieces with me when I walked down the aisle made it even more memorable.”

The newlyweds favorite moment was taking sunset photos after their ceremony. Despite the forecast calling for rain, the skies were clear and the sunset was breathtaking. “The moments where we took time alone just us two to soak in being newlyweds was a moment we will never forget.” said Sean and Megan.
When it came to decor, Sean and Megan both agreed that they wanted to keep it simple and organic. “I wanted the ocean view to be our main focus on this day and utilize a lot of neutrals.” said Megan. Their color scheme was a mix of neutrals colors that would compliment the Spanish architecture and colorful tiles.
Coordinator Cortney Helaine and Bonnie with The Tangled Vine helped bring the couples vision to life with subtle greenery and an abundance of candles.
