San Clemente, CA – Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens, an award-winning Southern California 501(c)3 nonprofit, suspends visits to their historic home and art gallery to the public effective July 1, 2020 in accordance with a mandate issued by CA Governor Newsom in his press conference the same day. Casa Romantica’s gardens will remain open to the public with social distancing guidelines in place. Casa Romantica’s historic home and art gallery were previously reopened to the public on June 20.
Tickets are limited to a maximum of 40 visitors per hour, with a maximum of 20 guests at any one time on Casa Romantica’s 2.5-acre property to ensure safe social distancing, and modifications have been made to the cultural center’s self-guided tour of the gardens to adhere to a one-way route. Masks are required to enter the cultural center and for the duration of the visit.
Complimentary take-home maps are available at the front entrance for visitors to take self-guided tours through Casa Romantica. There are several marked hand sanitizer stations throughout the property. Masks, hand sanitizer, and other souvenirs are available for purchase at our Gift Shop.
Admission is $5 through contactless payment via card or cash at the front entrance. All proceeds support the 501(c)3 nonprofit’s preservation and programs that benefit the community. Children under age 13 and active military with ID receive free admission. The current hours are Tuesday-Sunday, 10 AM-4 PM. Casa Romantica’s gardens will be open from 10 AM-2 PM on July 4.
While subject to current government health and safety guidelines, Casa Romantica anticipates resuming its award-winning programming onsite beginning in mid-July 2020. The upcoming season includes both onsite and remote modalities for participation, enabling the nonprofit to fulfill its mission for people of all ages in a manner that fits each individual’s needs.
