Lao Tizer Quartet featuring Karen Briggs

Lao Tizer will return to Casa Romantica on January 28, 2022 after a sold out performance in 2020. The Lao Tizer Quartet brings a genre-bending performance of contemporary jazz, world beat, and pop-rock sensibilities that sets a crowd on their feet. As a composer and artist, Lao shifts from power chords to lyrical ballads with ease. Their latest release, Songs from the Swinghouse, deuted at #8 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz Chart. An Evening with Chris Mann | Celebrating the Tony Bennett Songbook

Called “visceral,” by Rolling Stone, see The Voice finalist Chris Mann in a romantic evening celebrating the Tony Bennett Songbook. Chris Mann’s debut album Roads hit #1 on Billboard’s Heatseekers Chart and appeared on the Billboard Top 200 and iTunes charts. He recently concluded his critically acclaimed role as The Phantom in the 25th Anniversary Tour of Andrew Lloyd Weber’s The Phantom of the Opera after 700 performances. From American Songbook and Broadway classics to Lady Gaga hits, Tony Bennett’s music reaches every generation and proves that truly, “Love is Here to Stay.” 

FUN FACT: Chris Mann was specifically picked out to the play The Phantom by Andrew Lloyd Weber himself!

Coffee Concerts with High Tide Coffee

Have a mellow start to your weekend by grabbing a hot cup of coffee, cozy up by the fire – all while listening to live music in Casa Romantica’s historic Main Salon. Casa Romantica in partnership with High Tide Coffee highlights local performers in this monthly community event on select Friday mornings once a month. Come for the coffee, stay for the music! This event is free with admission to Casa Romantica and the coffee is complimentary for all guests during the performance.

FUN FACT: High Tide Coffee is a local San Clemente business that also recently opened a second location in Laguna Niguel!

CONNECTIONS: Celebrating Chinese New Year

Celebrate Lunar New Year with Casa Romantica as Chinese-American artists are highlighted for both contemporary and traditional Chinese performing arts. Experience events and performances centered around Chinese culture and education. 

Some highlights include

• Casa Kids Concert with Pacific Trio learning about the music of China! 
• Bei Bei performs both traditional Chinese music and contemporary music using the Chinese Zither. She has been prominently featured on Disney soundtracks, performed with global stars such as Christina Aguilera.
• Dance Impressions Productions & STC Foundation shares Chinese culture through traditional performing arts. Guests will enjoy Classical Chinese dance and drumming in Casa Romantica’s Main Salon. You can see them performing every year at Disney’s California Adventure for Lunar New Year as well!
