‘I Love You, California’ exhibition featured in Art Patron Magazine

Casa Romantica’s exhibition I Love You, California: The Peter and Gail Ochs Collection was a major feature in the November/December issue of Art Patron Magazine. The article, written by LA-based art critic Liz Goldner, extolled the merits of the “treasures” on view at Casa Romantica, including the landmark paintings Land of Sunshine by Maurice Braun and Sunny Slopes by William Wendt. Casa Romantica Wins ‘Outstanding Arts Organization of 2017’ (video)

On October 17, 2017, Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens accepted the Achievement Award for Outstanding Arts Organization from Arts Orange County (ArtsOC), the officially-designated local arts agency of the County of Orange and its official state-local arts agency partner. The 18th Annual OC Arts Awards was held at the Samueli Theater in Costa Mesa, and Executive Director Berenika Schmitz accepted the award on behalf of Casa Romantica with Board of Trustees President Ruth DeNault. The OC Arts Awards were established to honor the outstanding contributions of individuals and organizations to the arts in Orange County.

Scott and Jenny’s Story As many modern love stories begin, Scott and Jenny met online. Coincidentally, they were both living and working in San Diego just minutes from each other. Although their paths had likely crossed unknowingly, it took an online dating app for the pair to finally meet.
