“This month, 8,000 blooms morph into modern art at the Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens, the Spanish-style building that was once home to San Clemente’s founder,” says Sunset Magazine.
“For the exhibition Casa Coastal, London-based installation artist Rebecca Louise Law and her team used flora grown on-site — including sea thrift, straw flowers, and yarrow — to create art that hangs from the rafters and carpets the floors. While the pieces are eye-poppingly beautiful, they’re also meant to emphasize the importance of landscaping with native, drought-tolerant plants. Opening night includes live music and refreshments among the building’s archways and in its interior courtyards.”
