Construction Updates

Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens suffered a major landslide on April 27, 2023 with half an acre of gardens lost including our beloved Ocean Terrace and Native Bowl gardens.

After 18 months of construction to stabilize the cliffside, the Main Salon and interior rooms of the property were reopened as of October 4, 2024.

Official Statement (Updated on October 30, 2024):

As of Friday, October 4th, the following rooms are now reopened: Main Salon & Solarium, Dining Room, Ole’s Bedroom, and Ole’s Office. The following outdoor areas remain closed: Amphitheater & Woodland Garden, Story Circle, Spanky Chang Children’s Garden, Ocean Terrace, and Native Bowl.

With the reopening of the interior portion of our property, general admission tickets have increased to $8. Casa Romantica members (and those with reciprocal membership), children 12 and under, and active military remain free.
