From I-5 South
Take exit 75 at Avenida Palizada and turn right. Continue straight through Avenida de la Estrella and El Camino Real. At Encino Lane, Avenida Palizada becomes Avenida Granada. Continue on Avenida Granada and turn right into Casa Romantica approximately 0.2 miles ahead.
From I-5 North
Take exit 75 at Avenida Presidio and turn left. Turn right on El Camino Real. Turn left on Avenida Del Mar. Continue on Avenida Del Mar through the town center and turn right on Avenida Granada. Turn left into Casa Romantica approximately 0.1 miles ahead.
Train
Casa Romantica is accessible by public transit via train. Amtrak’s Pacific Surfliner stops at the San Clemente Pier daily. Metrolink’s Orange Line stops at the San Clemente Pier on weekends.
Bus
San Clemente is served by OCTA Routes 91 and 1. The nearest bus stop is located at the corner of El Camino Real and Avenida Cabrillo.
Trolley

Yes, we have free onsite parking for active guests of Casa Romantica during your visit. Due to ongoing construction, parking availability is extremely limited. Additional public parking is available on the street or in public parking lots (located either in the Pier Bowl or San Clemente Community Center/Library). Casa Romantica has no control over San Clemente street parking or public parking lots.
As of October 4th, 2024, all indoor areas of Casa Romantica have re-opened.
The areas that are currently closed are the following: Amphitheater & Woodland Garden, Story Circle, Spanky Chang Children’s Garden, Ocean Terrace, and Native Bowl.

Public tours are available at no extra charge. Drop-in docent tours during normal public hours are subject to availability.
Reservations for group visits with docent tours are available for groups of 10 or more and must be booked at least 2 weeks in advance. Professional and commercial photography sessions are prohibited during public hours unless booked ahead of time with our Private Events team.
Guests of Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens may bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages during daytime public hours. Guests are prohibited from moving furniture, blocking areas off, or interfering with Casa Romantica guests. All groups are responsible for cleaning and tidying up after themselves if using the publicly available spaces of Casa Romantica.
