Casa Romantica’s exhibition I Love You, California: The Peter and Gail Ochs Collection was a major feature in the November/December issue of Art Patron Magazine. The article, written by LA-based art critic Liz Goldner, extolled the merits of the “treasures” on view at Casa Romantica, including the landmark paintings Land of Sunshine by Maurice Braun and Sunny Slopes by William Wendt.
The Peter and Gail Ochs Collection is comprised primarily of important pieces from the California Impressionist Art (1890-1930) canon. Twenty-three of their most prized works are on view at Casa Romantica though February 18, 2018 in the Casa Romantica gallery. The exhibition was curated by Berenika Schmitz, who paired each work with a quote from California naturalist John Muir.
