Perched on a bluff top overlooking the Pacific Ocean, Casa Romantica Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens is a valuable cultural resource. Listed on the National Registry of Historic Places, it was built in 1927 as the family home of Ole Hanson, the founder of the City of San Clemente.
Our incomparable venue is available to rent for celebrations such as weddings, memorials, corporate appreciation functions, conferences, holiday parties, and executive retreats. Enjoy every moment in the privacy and timeless beauty of our exquisite estate. Our site can accommodate up to 150 guests comfortably.
The Main Salon and indoor portions of the property are now reopened. The Ocean Terrace patio and Story Circle remain unavailable.

The site fee includes a $1,000 President’s Circle Membership (tax-deductible), exclusive and private use of the venue, cleaning fees, and a Site Supervisor to oversee the facility during the event. Prices are subject to change.
Celebrations and Corporate Events
ENTIRE SITE Courtyard, West Terrace, and Main Salon (up to 100 guests)
Monday – Thursday: $2,750 year-round
Friday, Saturday, Sunday & holidays: $3,850 November – April; $5,250 May – October
Rental rates include the use of the specific area of the site for up to 4 hours; basic tables and seating; a Site Supervisor for the duration of the event; and cleaning fees. Rental time can be increased by $250 per half hour or part thereof. Rentals for events with over 100 people are the responsibility of the client.
PARTIAL SITE Octagonal Room (up to 12 guests)
Monday – Thursday: $1,200 year-round
This rate includes use of the room for up to 6 hours (business hours only); rental of basic tables, chairs, and linens; set-up & breakdown; and cleaning fees.

Frequently Asked Questions
Casa Romantica can accommodate up to 150 guests in order to comfortably have room for wedding guests for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception.
The site fee will include the private use of the Casa Romantica estate home and gardens for the contracted time period, cleaning fees, and a Casa Romantica Site Supervisor to maintain and tend to the facility needs throughout the event. It also includes a President’s Circle Membership (tax-deductible) which is valid for one year and can be used during public hours or at cultural events held at Casa Romantica.
Your Valet, Rentals, Caterer, Event Planner/Coordinator, and Florist must be selected from Casa Romantica’s Exclusive Vendor List. All other vendors may be selected by the client, although Casa Romantica does maintain a Preferred Vendors List. Vendors are required to follow the venue rules that are outlined in the Casa Romantica Private Event Rental Policies. All vendors must sign the Casa Romantica Vendor Rules and submit a certificate of insurance naming Casa Romantica as additionally insured.

Casa Romantica is a versatile venue that allows for many different layouts and styles of weddings and other private events. To enable our clients to plan a custom event based on their individual wishes, all rental items are provided by our exclusive rental company, Create A Party Rentals. All items must be provided by our exclusive rental company. No outside rentals of any kind are permitted.
Guests may dance in the beautiful Main Salon or outdoors in the Courtyard. Higher-decibel dance music must be played indoors.
There is a bridal suite and groom’s room. These rooms have a private restroom, vanity area, and sitting areas, and are fully air-conditioned. The wedding party may arrive at 2:00 P.M.
Due to construction in our parking lot, valet service is mandatory. Our valet will strategically park vehicles in the Casa parking lot with overflow in a nearby designated city-owned parking lot.
Yes. We require a licensed and insured event coordinator from our Exclusive Vendor List with a minimum of “day-of coordination” to handle all of the details on the day of your wedding so that you can relax and enjoy your special day!
