Tiffany and Kurtis met in dental school in Los Angeles as Tiffany was finishing her first year and Kurtis was finishing his last year. Smart and ambitious, the couple realized that they also shared a love of silly humor and jokes!
Kurtis was accepted into a practice in Orange County after he graduated. The pair maintained a (semi) long-distance relationship for three years. When Tiffany graduated, they flew to Bora Bora for a romantic getaway. One evening, as they watched the sun set on the water from their waterfront balcony, Kurtis proposed.
During their engagement, the fiancés explored Orange County together. They stumbled upon Casa Romantica after dining at a creperie by the San Clemente pier. Tiffany recalls her thoughts about the Casa’s versatility: “It felt like three different venues all in one.” They appreciated that there would be abundant, beautiful ocean scenery and historic architecture for guests to enjoy.
It was important for Tiffany and Kurtis that they be able to focus on spending time with their guests and enjoying the company of their loved ones. Casa Romantica’s intimate venue proved to be a perfect locale for their goal, with multiple spaces in which to entertain small or large groups.
Priscilla with At Your Service Catering put Tiffany and Kurtis in contact with a variety of vendors that allowed them to easily customize their wedding. With Priscilla’s on-trend props and Signature Party Rentals‘ elegant selection of rentals, the couple was able to create simple yet elegant accents in crystal and gold.
Priscilla also arranged the floral decor, procuring romantic coral and blush pink bouquets and centerpieces.
For party favors, Tiffany and Kurtis packaged individual stroopwaffels with handwritten tags that riffed a pun on a popular song.
They also gave each guest a pint glass with the guest’s name handwritten on it.
On the day of their wedding, Tiffany gave Kurtis one of the most whimsical first look moments that the Casa Romantica Private Events team has witnessed. After bride and groom got dressed separately in Casa Romantica’s historic bedroom suites….
…Tiffany pranked Kurtis by appearing in a colorful unicorn onesie and sneakers!
As guests arrived, they were greeted with an invitation to unplug and enjoy the festivities together. Their unique guestbook set-up invited attendees to snap a photo of themselves with an Instax camera and to tuck the photo, along with a note, into the pages of a newlyweds cookbook.
The ceremony on the Ocean Terrace was both stunning and sentimental. Tiffany and Kurtis wrote their own vows separately, and when they delivered them, the harmony in their union was instantly apparent.
After the ceremony, guests headed indoors for cocktail hour.
While they got their drinks, the expert team at Casa Romantica removed the chairs on the Ocean Terrace in no time at all. By the time guests gathered back outside, the waterfront space had been transformed into a dance floor for the married couple’s first dance.
The reception dinner was held al fresco in the Casa Courtyard. Signature Party Rentals provided rustic yet elegant seating arrangements and dinnerware.
Carbonara Catering served a delicious buffet-style meal, and mixed up cocktails in the same hues as the floral arrangements.
The wedding ended with a fun-filled period of dancing and desserts in the Main Salon, with music DJ’ed by Todd of Epic 1 Dj and sweets by Carbonara Catering.
Tiffany and Kurtis’ Casa Romantica wedding was both unique and charming, with lots of love shared by the newlyweds, their families, and their friends! We hope that they enjoy each others’ company for many years to come.
