Christine and Michael’s journey to wedded bliss began with an engagement while on vacation in Peru. The couple was walking around the city of Cusco after enjoying a day of hiking, and they stopped at a fountain to take a photo. Michael dropped down on one knee and pulled out a beautiful ring to propose to Christine, who was beyond surprised. After having their engagement photos taken by a professional photographer that Michael had hired, they celebrated their special night with a bottle of champagne at a beautiful, historic hotel in the center of the city.
The couple knew that they wanted their wedding to take place at a coastal venue with character and charm. They realized that Casa Romantica was the perfect destination when they walked into the historic Main Salon and saw the beautiful Pacific Ocean through its unique Spanish-green pocket doors.
Christine and Michael wanted to keep their decor simple and elegant, embellished with a few personal touches that would make their wedding day feel feel extra-special. They selected red as their main color of inspiration, as red symbolizes luck and joy in Chinese culture; an important part of Christine’s heritage. The bridesmaids wore dresses in shades of red, burgundy, dark purple and blush, while the groomsmen wore blue and white to complement the vibrant backdrop of the Pacific Ocean.
Their sunset ceremony was held on the stunning Ocean Terrace, overlooking the pristine Pacific Ocean with the waves crashing on the beach below.
A beautiful display of colorful tile coasters guided guests to their dinner tables in the open-air Courtyard. The creative “escort cards” were also the perfect wedding favor for their guests to take with them at the end of the evening.
The Casa Romantica Courtyard was the perfect location for their romantic reception. Soft, romantic bistro lights and abundant greenery made it feel like stepping into a secret garden. Little Hill Floral Design completed the elegant space with stunning floral arrangements and décor.
After dinner, guests enjoyed ice cream sandwiches from Chunk N’ Chip for dessert and danced late into the night.
Christine and Michael celebrated their perfect day surrounded by their closest family and friends. We wish them all the happiness in the world as husband and wife!
