Casa Candid officially turns one year old today! As the new wedding season begins, we invite you to take a look back at some of our favorite memories and stories that we’ve shared with you as well as some never-before-seen moments from the past year.
Our first Casa Candid blog post featured Executive Director Berenika Schmitz‘s beautiful, intimate Casa wedding. We were honored to be a part of her special day and share the photos with our readers. Berenika and Kevin celebrated with 30 of their closest family and friends, and their wedding was a perfect example of how Casa Romantica’s smaller spaces accommodate life’s most special events.
Following our first blog, we shared Katie and Justin’s generational venue story. Katie and Justin are the third couple in Katie’s family to be married on Casa Romantica’s Ocean Terrace, following in her parents’ — and grandparents’ — footsteps. It is the first known circumstance for Casa Romantica!
Their September wedding was absolutely beautiful and we have proof — take a look at the stunning photos from their dream day.
Eric and Genna’s colorful coastal April wedding is one we still dream about. The bright colors and tile accents were a glimpse into trends we’d see in weddings to come. Genna’s sister-in-law will be married at Casa Romantica this summer, and we can’t wait to see their own transformation of the space.
We saw a burst of color in flowers and décor this year, and succulents made their debut as bouquet staples. Edison bulbs, greenery, vintage décor, and metallic accents fought for the spotlight and stole our hearts in so many ways. We truly saw something new and different at every wedding — a reflection of the many styles, personalities, and stories that enter through our keyhole door.
From engagements and “I do”s, first dances and sunset kisses, to 100th birthday parties, we witness so many milestones in people’s lives. We are so grateful to everyone who has shared this journey with us, and look forward to sharing Casa Candid stories, tips and inspiration with all of our readers in the year ahead.
