Industry Night at Casa Romantica

Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens recently hosted its first industry night, ‘Cocktails at the Casa.’ Event professionals who provide services for weddings, private, and corporate events flocked to Casa Romantica from Orange County, Los Angeles, and San Diego. Attendees mixed and mingled on the institution’s picturesque Ocean Terrace and inside the chicly decorated Main Salon while a DJ spun the likes of Ed Sheehan and Alessia Cara.

“Industry Night brought new and familiar Wedding and Private Event vendors to Casa Romantica to network and learn about unique benefits for clients who host their special event at our beautiful destination.” said Michele Bogdanoff, Private Events Director.

Inspired by the coastal setting, Casa Romantica was decorated in a casually elegant theme, with lounge seating and cocktail tables scattered throughout the property and its many vistas. Cocktail tables covered with a mix of ivory and ocean blue linens matched the view and provided guests with a perfect spot to watch the sunset, while ivory parlor furniture provided a luxe and cozy spot to warm up under the gold-and-crystal chandelier in the Main Salon. Lush flowers and décor were generously provided by a few of Casa Romantica’s Exclusive Florists to enhance the beauty of the surroundings.

Casa Romantica’s Exclusive Caterers’ set up stations throughout the institution’s venue spaces, offering signature cocktails and hors d’ oeuvres for guests to enjoy while watching the sunset.

24 Carrots Catering & Events showcased a colorful and unique dessert bar that was accentuated by stunning flora from The Bloom of Time. Their display included a prickly pear parfait, mango carrot cake dessert shot, a petite Paloma cocktail, and a Chili Cucumber Cocktail.

Carbonara Catering’s table featured charcuterie, fresh ceviche, and watermelon bites topped with whipped goat cheese. They also offered a refreshing watermelon martini and Chambord kir royale cocktail to sip on between bites.

Sundried Tomato American Bistro’s tri-tip meatball with teriyaki beurre blanc and red cabbage slaw were the perfect blend of high-end and comfort cuisine. Their bespoke “Pinograno Cocktail” with pineapple, cranberry, and lime made one instantly feel like they were on vacation.

Iva Lee’s Catering welcomed guests with a Tuscan Stuffed Cucumber Cup. Their cocktail, a fresh spin on a traditional Peach Bellini, included “dancing cranberries” that bounced in the glass when the champagne was poured in.

White House Catering offered a heavenly dessert display which included a sugary trifecta of triple chocolate mousse, strawberry shortcake, and banana cream pie.

Plumeria Cake Studio provided a second dessert display in our Octagonal Room. The divine assortment of desserts included Almond Rosemary cupcakes, Coconut Lime bars, Moscato cupcakes, German Chocolate cookie pies, and several types of wedding cookies.

Nearly 200 guests enjoyed a hip photo booth provided by Petite Pix, and danced to ‘Top 40’ hits from Preferred vendor Epic 1 DJ.

Vendors who attended the event were entered into a raffle for the chance to win use of Casa Romantica for a styled shoot. Congratulations to the following vendors:
