Kyle and Lacie’s love story began at a Halloween dance party at a trendy lounge in Huntington Beach. Lacie was at The Bungalow in Huntington Beach with her sister and her sister’s husband for a costume party on Halloween. Kyle was there with some buddies and asked Lacie to dance — they were inseparable the rest of the night.
The couple were frequent visitors of Huntington Beach and on October 4, Kyle proposed to Lacie on the shoreline near Tower 16. “He walked me down to the water and asked me to marry him,” Lacie said.
They had planned to celebrate in Kauai, Hawaii, but the lush tropical gardens and unique characteristics of Casa Romantica made it an easy decision to plan their destination wedding closer to home. “We instantly fell in love [with the space],” says Lacie.
“Our wedding reflected our love of the ocean,” Lacie exclaimed. The groom wore a textured blue suit and silk white tie that pulled in the color from the ocean below. The bride chose diamonds and pearls, natural elements of the earth, to accent her dress that was a timeless lace gown with a beautiful trail. Simple details that made a big impact let their surroundings accompany the vision they had. As guests walked into the venue, they were greeted by a wall of champagne. Fresh roses in an array of colors were scattered in centerpieces and tables that brought the right touch of romance to the evening. Soft tones of pink, white, and peach blended with the warm tones of the Casa’s wooden archways and colorful tiles that adorn the steps to the Ocean Terrace. The tropical vegetation brought in the elements of the islands and created a space that felt like a destination. “It was exactly what we wanted for our wedding,” says Lacie.
No detail was overlooked and it seemed as though even the elements played a special a part of their day. The views from the Casa let the couple see the pier at night and they were able to watch a bright full moon the night of their wedding. “It was our favorite moment,” said Lacie. As the night went on, dancing filled the home with warmth much like the night Lacie and Kyle met.
Lacie, Kyle, their family, and friends who attended the wedding had smiles on their faces from the moment they walked into the Casa and they didn’t stop all night. The love that they brought to Casa Romantica created moments that will be remembered forever.
