Casa Romantica is known for its beautiful gardens. Our gardens feature over 75 different types of drought-tolerant plants, including succulents.
We love it when our clients are inspired by the Casa itself – from tiled coasters that mimic our floor tiles to bouquets and centerpieces that echo our garden blooms. As wedding season has begun, we are noticing an increase in the use of succulents for bouquets, boutonnières, centerpieces, and décor, especially the ‘Echeveria’ succulent. This beautiful plant is arguably the most attractive of all succulents, and is highly valued for its amazing color variations. ‘Echeveria’ is a large genus of flowering plants in the Crassulaceae family, named after the 18th century Mexican botanical artist Atanasio Echeverría y Godoy. You will see these succulents throughout Casa Romantica year round.

Add succulents to your colorful centerpieces and table décor for the ideal balance of chic and rustic. They are the perfect compliment an outdoor setting. At a recent wedding, a bride’s family grew succulents in handmade wooden boxes for over a year to use as centerpieces. The bride and groom took them home at the end of the evening to place in their new home as husband and wife.
