Becca and Jared both grew up in a small town in New Jersey. They met in grade school when they were just 5 years old!
However, they had separate groups of friends and ended up attending different high schools. A few years after graduating college, the pair serendipitously reconnected when they both moved to the Jersey Shore, just 2 miles away from each other. They immediately hit it off and bonded over the similarities in their upbringing and childhood memories.
It wasn’t long before Becca and Jared knew that they wanted to get married and, just hours after acquiring a ring, Jared proposed.
Becca and Jared eventually found themselves in California while Jared completed law school. Despite the fact that the majority of their guests lived on the East Coast, they decided to have a California wedding so that they could share their West Coast experience with family and friends.
Becca was first introduced to San Clemente on a family vacation. While searching for a wedding venue, she came across a picture of the keyhole front door at Casa Romantica and was immediately intrigued.
They booked a tour and after seeing the property in person, knew that their search for the perfect wedding venue was over.
Their wedding “theme” was a mix of many different styles. They wanted to incorporate rustic elegance, boho chic, romantic, and beach-y. “Casa Romantica is the perfect venue to incorporate all of these elements,” says Becca.
One of the most cherished moments of the day was being married on Casa Romantica’s Ocean Terrace by Dr. Doug Cipkala, the couple’s dear friend and Becca’s former oncologist. As a teen, while she was battling leukemia, Dr. Cipkala would help keep Becca’s spirits up by talking about her future. “Dr. Doug used to tell Becca that he better be invited to her wedding one day as a way to give her hope for the future,” said Jared. “Now, that day had come!”
The bridesmaids were pretty in pink with beautiful King Protea and eucalyptus bouquets, while the groomsmen donned blue suits with floral print ties to match.
The tables were adorned with beautiful centerpieces that matched the bouquets and added color to the crisp ivory linens. The dreamy mix of King Protea, delicate roses, soft greens, and gold accents was exactly what the couple dreamed up when they thought “romantic beach wedding.” Cheri from Petite Bouquet truly brought their vision to life!
Becca and Jared’s favorite area was the lounge in the Main Salon. “It was the perfect space for people to take a break from dancing,” recalls Becca.
Becca and Jared both agreed that their favorite wedding moment was their first dance. “There was something special about having our closest friends and family dancing alongside us, at the edge of the world, overlooking the ocean,” says Jared.
