Wedding Tips: How To Put Together Your Wedding Guest List
Wedding invitations are some of the most exciting to receive as a guest and fun to assemble as a wedding couple. However, navigating who will make the final cut can be one of the hardest things to do as you begin to plan for your wedding. You will want to consider your venue, who are your must have friends and family and additional guests such as ‘plus-ones.’ At Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens we are thrilled for you to begin your wedding countdown! Below you can read about our capacity, ceremony sites and tips for creating your guest list.
Capacity at Casa Romantica
Casa Romantica welcomes all wedding celebrations and is proud to serve as a place where couples celebrate with close friends and family. With its spectacular views of the beautiful Pacific Ocean and its stunning architecture, Casa Romantica provides an incomparable venue for weddings and private gatherings. Here, you and your guests can enjoy every moment of your special occasion in the privacy and timeless beauty of our exquisite property.
Casa Romantica can accommodate up to 150 guests in order to comfortably have room for wedding guests indoors and outdoors for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. With its 2.5 acres of home and gardens, your guests can enjoy the ocean air and lush tropical vegetation.
Wedding Ceremony Sites
Couples who get married at Casa Romantica have the luxury to use the entire property for their wedding. There are two areas where most ceremonies take place and many areas to take in the sites and enjoy the party.
Ocean Terrace
Overlooking the San Clemente Pier, the Ocean Terrace is the perfect backdrop for your event. Guests can gaze upon the gleaming turquoise surf and may even catch a glimpse of dolphins passing by the pier. On clear days, Catalina appears on the horizon, and the evenings are alight with joyful bonfires up and down the coastline. Enjoy the ocean breeze and gorgeous sunset with your family and friends for a wedding or any special event. This ceremony area can accommodate 150 guests and give you a grand entrance as you walk down the aisle to your new spouse.
Story Circle
Surrounded by colorful flowers and native plants, the Story Circle is the perfect place for a small, intimate ceremony. The built-in benches provide seating for up to twenty people, and the views of the ocean are sure to take your breath away.
Multiple Events
Many couples have had to make hard decisions when it comes to their guest list since the Covid-19 pandemic hit. With wedding season in full swing again, couples are still scaling back on their wedding days. Consider hosting your wedding and then throwing a separate party after you celebrate your big day. This party may consist of those guests who live in another state and couldn’t travel to you. It could also consist of a group of family and friends that didn’t make the final count. Consider planning a beach day with guests or a simple wine and cheese night at your home.
Guest List Tips
Before you book it is important to consider who will be attending your wedding. Here are some tips on how to navigate it:
Create Separate Lists
Sit down with your future spouse and create your list of attendees. Example – His family and friends, your family and friends.
Ask Your Parents to Create a List
It’s important to talk to your parents or close family members about who they would like to have at your wedding. They may bring up people you forgot to add to the list (trust me, it happens!) and they may ask for people who you would like to see on a separate occasion.
Plus-Ones and Children
Will your guests be able to bring a ‘plus-one?’ In some cases, you will give the options to some of your guests or all of your guests. In other cases, you will only be handing invites out with no additional attendees.
Will you have kids at your wedding or is it adult only? We suggest letting your guests know early on, before your send your invitation out and when you send them out that it is either an adult only party or it is kid friendly. This will help to avoid additional stress when finalizing numbers and preparing extra meals for little ones.
Who is invited to your wedding is ultimately up to you as a couple and it’s important to consider the time, money and energy your guests have given over the years and now will devote to your wedding day. We hope you enjoy every minute of wedding planning process! Are you interested hosting your wedding at Casa Romantica Cultural Center and Gardens?
