It’s never too late to live happily ever after! Kim and Miguel had both been married before and had children of their own. When they met as single parents, they realized that they had found the soulmate — and the family — they were both yearning for. They soon moved into a house big enough to combine their families, and took big family vacations all over the world! After 5 amazing years together, Miguel popped the question just before a weekend getaway. Kim was so excited that she exclaimed “is this real?!” before happily accepting.
Both Kim and Miguel agreed that they wanted an intimate, romantic wedding. They knew that they wanted their children to be by their sides as they said “I do.” and Kim was very proud to have her boys walk her down the aisle. To symbolize the union of their families, Kim and Miguel and their children all participated in a sand ceremony: each person poured their small sand-filled vase into one large heart-shaped family vase.
Kim and Miguel chose Casa Romantica because of its proximity to the beach. They both lived in San Clemente for years, and Miguel grew up surfing at the historic San Clemente Pier just below the property. The architecture and landscape had the best elegant Spanish ambiance they were looking for in their venue.
For Kim and Miguel, the most meaningful part of their wedding was their first dance. Miguel, self-described as “not the dancing type,” attended dancing lessons with Kim in the months leading up to their wedding. When the big moment came, they both pulled it off effortlessly. They wowed their guests with their dance to All of Me by John Legend. It was a true testament to Miguel’s love and devotion to Kim.
After their first dance, guests enjoyed a delicious meal from Carbonara Catering. Crisp white linens were paired with white and green centerpieces and rich wood chairs that blended in perfectly with the historic courtyard. Priscilla with At Your Service Caters provided both coordination and flowers for the special day.
Guests danced the night away to curated music from DJ Todd with Epic1 Entertainment and ended the evening with a beautiful sunset captured by Aaron Dieppa with California Coast Photographers.
We couldn’t be happier for this incredible couple. Thank you for sharing your story with us- we wish you a lifetime of happiness!
